Apple announced a new desktop called the Mac Studio. Looking like a chunky Mac Mini, the Mac Studio packs a punch with the option of either the M1 Max chip or the new M1 Ultra chip and you can add up to 8TB of SSD storage and up to 128GB of unified memory.

The Mac Studio features:

  • 4 x Thunderbolt 4 ports
  • 2 x USB-A ports
  • 1 HDMI port
  • 1 10G ethernet port
  • 1 3.5mm headphone jack
  • an SD card slot
  • either 2 USB-C ports for an M1 Max build or an extra 2 x Thunderbolt 4 ports for an M1 Ultra build

Apple states that the Mac Studio will stay quiet even during the heaviest workloads due to its perforated base and back side which helps with air flow.

The Studio Display is a 27" beauty with 5K resolution and up to 600 nits of brightness. It also has an A13 chip to power the 12MP ultra wide camera and 6-speaker sound system.

The Studio Display has three USB-C ports and a Thunderbolt 4 port with up to 96W power delivery.

The latest iPad Air now runs on the M1 chip that the iPad Pro uses, making it 60% faster than the previous gen iPad Air. A new ultra-wide front camera has been implemented for better video conferencing performance and the SIM card models are 5G ready. The USB-C port can now transfer data at up to 10Gbps speed and can support an external display up to 6K in resolution.

It now uses the same front and back glass as the current iPhone range, has a new 12MP camera with a range of shooting options and runs on the A15 chip making it almost 2x faster than the iPhone 8.

It also has better battery life and 5G plus it is Qi wireless charging compatible.
