Many a traveller has silently thanked their AirTags when their luggage has gone missing…
Now, there is even better news—Apple has partnered with several airlines (including Qantas) to allow users to temporarily share the location of their lost luggage. What’s more, users will be able to share their phone and email address so that when lost items are located, the finder can contact the user directly.
This feature is available on iOS 18.2 or newer.
Did you know that we sell a bunch of AirTag holders by Elevation Lab, Nomad, and Moment?
For luggage cases, we recommend using Elevation Lab's TagVault Fabric. It sticks to the inside of any bag or case and you then screw your AirTag into the holder.
If you prefer a more mobile AirTag holder, we recommend using the TagVault Keychain and hanging it off any of the zippers inside the luggage case (whilst the TagVault is durable, we're not sure how it would go if it is to be constantly thrown around and crushed by other heavy luggage cases during baggage handling).
