Caldigit TS3 Plus
The TS3 Plus remains as our most popular dock and has been flying off the shelves even before the pandemic hit. Customers especially dig the ability to plug in either 1 x 5K 60Hz display or 2 x 4K 60Hz displays. It is only suitable for Thunderbolt 3 laptops. Available here.
Caldigit USB-C Pro Dock
An upgrade to the original USB-C dock, the Pro dock is compatible with USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 laptops. Whilst you cannot connect a Thunderbolt 3/USB-C monitor into the spare USB-C port, there are dual DisplayPort ports that support 4K 60Hz monitors. Available here.
Adam Elements’ CASA Hub Pro
Similar to the USB-C Pro Dock, the CASA Hub Pro also works with both Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C laptops but it doesn’t come with a power adapter so you will need to use your own. The kicker is that this dock comes with an in-built stand that’s perfect for USB-C smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S20 or the Google Pixel 4. Available here.
Landingzone docks
Landingzone has been making MacBook docks for a while now and they all feature a HDMI port (which the Caldigit docks don’t have) and a Kensington Security Slot so you can lock your laptop down (security cable sold separately). Available for a variety of MacBook models here.

Kensington docks
Kensington is one of the original hardware accessory makers and they have come out with a range of docks at different price points to suit different needs. All docks come with a Kensington security slot (security cable sold separately) and are VESA mount compatible (so you can mount it behind your screen with a VESA mount). Available here.
