Caldigit

In 2006, CalDigit set out on a mission to craft top-notch external storage solutions for the brilliant minds in the creative industry. As the world embraced the Thunderbolt connector in 2011, CalDigit saw the immense potential of Thunderbolt for streamlining global workflows.

Compared to other consumer electronics companies, CalDigit stands out as they handle every aspect of their product creation in-house, from research and development to design and manufacturing.

Extra Thunderbolt and USB-A ports: Element Hub

Unleash endless connectivity options for all your work devices with the Element Hub, thanks to its Thunderbolt and USB-A ports.

The Thunderbolt 4 ports are capable of speeds up to 3,000MB/s to take advantage of your ultra-fast storage devices. That is 8.5x the performance of a typical 5Gb/s USB-C hub, which offers speeds of around 350MB/s from its USB-A ports.

The next step up is the TS3 Plus but keep in mind, it only works with Thunderbolt 3 or 4 computers (or Thunderbolt 2 if you use Apple's Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter).

With a single Thunderbolt 3 port, you can expand to a whopping 15 ports. Whether you are a power user in need of multiple USB ports, dual 4K display connectivity, Digital Optical Audio out, and/or an SD card reader, the TS3 Plus has got you covered. It's a compact powerhouse that also offers up to 87W of charging for both PC and Apple laptops.

Flagship: TS4

Caldigit's TS4 is the crème de la crème. It comes with 18 ports, including extra Thunderbolt 4 ports and specialty audio ports. The TS4 provides up to 98w of power delivery so optimal performance is achieved even for larger laptops.

One thing to remember is that a dock's connectivity may be limited to what your computer is capable of. For example, the regular M1/M2/M3 chip Apple computers can only handle one external display per connection. Adding a Caldigit dock will not provide you with a connection to two displays for these machines. Some PCs with Thunderbolt 3 are also limited to one external display per connection.
