Did you know that when Try and Byte first opened one of the first products we sold was the first Mac game with digitised sound? The game was called Airborne.
Here is what it looks like.
It is amazing to see how far things have come, the game looks comically basic on an iPhone. It is pixelated black and white glory - when we first played the game it was on a 512 x 342 pixel screen (for comparisons sake the iPhone 11 Pro I just played the game on has a 2436 x 1125 pixel screen).
Here at Try and Byte we don't sell Mac software anymore but we still have a great range of Apple accessories.
Want to try Airborne? It is available for free on the App Store here.
If you're really keen you can also see an old Mac in action. There is a Mac Plus emulator thats runs in a browser here. There is also an Electron version available for download running Mac OS 8 (colour!!) here.
