The Tiffen Company has made optical filters since 1938, first in Brooklyn and now in Hauppauge, New York, still under family ownership. The range covers Black Pro-Mist and the wider diffusion family, variable and fixed ND filters, circular polarisers, UV and protection filters, and kits sized for mirrorless, DSLR and cine lenses.

Glass is laminated using the company's ColorCore process and finished in New York, which is why a Tiffen filter behaves the same on the tenth lens as it did on the first.
